Primordial Spirit / Yuanshen

The spiritual consciousness or soul of a cultivator. It can leave the body under specific circumstances (e.g., near death) to attempt possession (夺舍) of another body. For most cultivators, leaving the body requires time and stillness, making it impractical in battle. Only after reaching the Nascent Soul stage can the spirit leave the body instantly via the Nascent Soul.
