Xuan Gu Shangren, possessing the reanimated Jian Xing corpse, kills Hu Yue. He then summons ghost mist, kills Shi Die, and tricks Jin Qing into being killed by bone fragments. He attempts to possess Han Li but fails, then successfully possesses Qu Hun's body. After a tense standoff and a brief clash of Golden Lightning Bamboo treasures, both sides, recognizing the other's power, agree to a truce.
